Profit from plastic

Rotational moulding is ideal for low to medium production volumes. But, with a range of manufacturing processes available, why choose rotational moulding?

  • Significantly reduced tooling costs relative to other plastic manufacturing processes;
  • Low cost one piece, manufacturing solution which eliminates the requirement for expensive, manual fabrication and multiple sub-assemblies;
  • Favourable strength to weight ratio of plastic creates a robust, durable and easily handled product;
  • Low tool modification costs ensures design changes can be implemented affordably and quickly;
  • Highly automated manufacturing process minimises labour and production costs;
  • Additional features (e.g. metal threads, spurs. etc..), can be integrally moulded into the part reducing finishing and assembly costs;
  • Wide choice of materials – many of which can be easily recycled to satisfy EPL requirements.

Profit from experience

Carbery is experienced in working with external customers. Indeed, as a flexible, customer driven business, benefiting from a focused management team – many contract moulding clients find that Carbery quickly becomes an extension of their own operations.

  • An independent business which operates within clearly defined product sectors;
  • Nearly 40 years industry experience and a proven track record of success;
  • Based on Ireland’s south coast and less than 1 hour from Cork City, Carbery benefits from access to excellent transport links;
  • Extensive product design and development facilities including Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) testing;
  • A modern ISO9001 accredited manufacturing environment employing a flexible, experienced and committed workforce;
  • Extensive post mould operations and finishing facilities;
  • On-site product storage and despatch operations;
  • In-house tool fabrication and maintenance, significantly reduces time to market.

Profit from a refreshingly simple approach

At Carbery, our approach to contract moulding is simple and straightforward. We recognise time is money for any business, so we won't try and bamboozle you with unecessary technical terms or blind you with science. Instead, we'll help you decide on the suitability of rotational moulding for your next project and work with you to turn your idea into a commercial and profitible reality.

Our approach consists of 5 simple and straightforward steps and it's possible to go from initial concept to finished product in as little as 12 weeks:

  • We'll determine the feasability of rotational moulding for your next product or project, by discussing product requirements, application requirements and any regulatory requirements which may be applicable;
  • We'll produce and develop a 3D concept and provide you with a detailed quotation;
  • Assuming our quotation is acceptable, we'll work closely with you to conclude product development ahead of mould manufacture;
  • We'll manufacture a prototype for your approval and verification;
  • Following instruction, we'll commence product manufacturing and complete any required post-mould product assembly operations.
